CORE SERVICES

  • At The Coffee Lobby we recommend that every commercial coffee machine receive a thorough service and inspection at least once a year. While exact intervals can vary by manufacturer, a 12‑month schedule is crucial for preventing internal wear that could lead to major downtime. Keeping your machine fully maintained ensures consistent productivity and guarantees that your customers enjoy a first‑class coffee experience time after time.

    During a service we carry out the following replacements and checks:

    • Group Seals and Shower Screens are replaced.

    • Steam and Water Valves are serviced.

    • Safety Valve removed and operated (not a PSSR).

    • Lever Probe removed and inspected.

    • Anti‑Vacuum Breaker replaced.

    • Hot Water Sieve and Spout replaced if required.

    • Full Function Test carried out and doses set to Coffee Recipe.

    • Water Filtration Exchanged.

  • Over the past decade The Coffee Lobby has worked closely with insurance providers to prepare our customers’ traditional espresso machines for on‑site inspections. From this experience we understand precisely which standards insurers require for a successful pass and, equally important, the common failures that can jeopardise coverage.

    We can supply a Written Scheme of Examination together with a pressure‑test certificate that demonstrates compliance with the Pressure Safety Systems Regulation 2000 (using CoffeeSafe). As part of our annual service we recommend carrying out a Written Scheme of Examination; to make this straightforward we offer a bundled package that includes a PSSR at a minimal cost, reinforcing our “safety first” philosophy for your equipment.

  • The Coffee Lobby’s service centre in Wiltshire is fully equipped to descale and restore a wide range of classic espresso machines. Using a specialised system and proven procedure, we dismantle each machine, replace perishable components and gaskets, then rebuild it after thoroughly descaling the boiler and polishing the chrome.

    The result is a machine that performs as it did when it was new.
